The next morning, I woke up with a banging headache. I had cried myself to sleep the night before. Truce’s visit had taken me to a place that I never wanted to go again. The sadness and heartbreak that I had experienced the previous night had me seeing him in another light. I was thankful for him because of our small contribution that would be here in a few months, but other than that, I couldn’t stand him. He is a worthless piece of shit.

Thinking back, I should’ve never even wasted my energy on him. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted. Plus, I got a gift out of the bullshit of a friendship. Truce had me highly pissed off, but I wouldn’t let it ruin my day. To relieve some stress, Kamey and I was going to go baby shopping. I didn’t give a damn about her not wanting to go. She was coming along. I needed some damn support.

I handled my hygiene and then prepared to get myself together. A simple tee shirt, jeans, and a headband would due. I wasn’t trying to get fancy. Throwing my hair into a messy bun, I placed the headband on my head. Standing in the full length mirror, I examined my face. I looked exhausted. Sighing, I grabbed my designer bag and headed for the door.

Stepping outside of my apartment, I saw that the flowers that I had thrown out last night were lined up neatly outside of my door. No one had done that but Truce. I wondered how long it had taken him, because that was a shitload of flowers. Shaking my head, I stuck my key into my door and locked the top lock. I always locked the bottom on before I left out of the house.

“He’s going to be the death of me.” I said as I headed for my car.

“Kamey, are you dressed?” I asked Kamey as soon as she answered her cell. I was headed towards her mother’s house in order to pick her up. Today, I simply wanted to enjoy one another’s company, laugh, and shop the day away. Nothing was more soothing to the soul than girl talk and a few shopping bags.

“Yeah. I am.” She sounded half asleep. I couldn’t help but to laugh. That damn baby had her even lazier than before. it was a damn shame. I was with Dayton and his father, I thought that she was having a boy. She and Amberly were the only ones who thought that she was having a bouncing baby girl. Even Olivia was on board with the Sanchez boys. According to Dru, they only had girls ever seven generations. Amberly’s mother was the girl of the bunch. They wouldn’t see another one for the next six generations.

“What’s so funny, bitch?” She asked, with that potty mouth of hers. I couldn’t help but to laugh again. “Oh my God, What’s so funny?”

“Nothing! Good you’re ready, because I am on the way.” I told her before disconnecting the call.
